American Airlines flight attendants have ratified a new five-year contract with the airline, the Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA) said on Thursday.

American Airlines will continue to cut back operations at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, canceling four more routes during late 2024 and early 2025.

The Fort Worth-based airline will cut nonstop service from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to three U.S. cities.

Following the cuts, American is left with three non-hub routes at the airport; Aspen, Cancun and Los Cabos. Austin, once seen as one of the stars of the airline industry, was flooded as airlines sought out the Texas capital with flights to take advantage of the city’s growing population and economic momentum. However, that growth has since slowed.
