PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Pittsburgh Pirates announced on Monday that they have re-signed longtime outfielder/designated hitter Andrew McCutchen to another contract. McCutchen, 38, signed the one-year deal for a reported $5 million, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Pirates re-sign 5-time All-Star Andrew McCutchen to 1-year extension
The Pirates selected McCutchen 11th overall in the 2005 MLB Draft. McCutchen played for the Pirates from 2009 to 2017. After that, the All-Star bounced around a bit, playing for the San Fransisco Giants, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies and Milwaukee Brewers. In 2023, McCutchen, at 37 years old, signed with the Pirates.
