Large groups of youths have been throwing fireworks, bricks and bottles at police in Edinburgh, during a night of disorder across the city.

Police have vowed to hunt down those responsible for Edinburgh’s Bonfire Night disorder and bring them to justice.

Officers have been given powers to help prevent disorder during a Bonfire Night which has seen fireworks thrown at police.
