Canada’s prime minister said it’s “in the interest of Canadians as well as Americans” to strengthen border security and raised concern about the rising volume of illegal guns and drugs flowing north from the US.

U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to impose a punishing 25 per cent tariff on everything imported to the U.S. from Canada. In return, the Canadian government says it will impose retaliatory tariffs of its own.
