Doom: The Dark Ages has just about everything you'd expect in a Doom game. It's got demons, it's got guns, it's got a huge guy who loves to rip and tear. The one thing it doesn't have is multiplayer: Studio chief Marty Stratton said id Software decided to forego a multiplayer component so it could focus on making the "biggest and best" Doom campaign possible.

Id Software recently pulled back the curtain on Doom: The Dark Ages and revealed a lot more gameplay from the upcoming FPS while also explaining some of the biggest changes from past Doom installments. One of the biggest is that this time around there is no multiplayer mode.

Like all Microsoft-published games, Doom: The Dark Ages will be available to play on Game Pass Ultimate at launch. However, “launch” means the release date of the standard edition, which is May 15. If you want to play it two days early (May 13), you can purchase the premium upgrade above.
