Under the new federal tax and spending law, a state official says it will become more challenging to verify Medicaid eligibility for Coloradans.
The recently passed GOP tax and spending law cuts about a trillion dollars from Medicaid over the next decade. Those cuts, according to the Congressional Budget Office and other independent analyses, will add upwards of 11 million people to the ranks of the uninsured.

Medicaid is the state's largest health insurer, covering a quarter of Michigan residents. Reform supporters say the changes will eliminate loopholes.
