A lawsuit seeking class action status accuses Meta of rolling back its now shuttered Facebook Watch streaming video service to give Netflix a clear path as part of a deal to split the spoils of the new digital landscape.

Netflix and Meta are being sued for an alleged agreement that, the suit states, involved the deliberate "hobbling" of Facebook Watch.

The proposed class action points to Meta's streaming ambitions with Facebook Watch, whose original programming division shuttered last year.
