LENT 2025 CATHEDRAL SPECIAL SCHEDULES. Confessions. Monday-Friday 11:30am -12:00pm Saturday 3:00pm – 4:30pm or by appointment. The main confessional is located in the back of the church (to the left as you walk through the center doors). A second confessional is near the statue of St. Joseph on the right-hand side, near the sanctuary.

St. Paul’s was originally a parish church of the Archdiocese of Mobile, later the Archdiocese of Mobile-Birmingham, with St. Paul’s becoming a Co-Cathedral.

Thanks to your generosity, we are proud to present the 3rd season of the DOWNTOWN CONCERT SERIES at the Cathedral of St. Paul for 2024-2025. This concert series seeks to bring the best of art and sacred music to our Cathedral as an offering to the Diocese, city, and parish.

On July 6, 2021, Father Jerabek was named Chaplain for Birmingham-area university students by Bishop Steven J. Raica. Chaplaincy activities take place at both the Cathedral of St. Paul and St. Stephen’s Chapel. Father is a Knight Commander of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. He is also a Fourth-Degree Knight of Columbus.
