To that point, I have the NVIDIA Shield Pro as my Plex Media Player AND I have an AT4K as my main streaming box. If my NVIDIA Shield died tomorrow, I would replace it the same day.

Nov 17, 2023 · Nvidia Shield Pro doesn't do hardware h265 or AV1 decoding due to its age. Both are very useful for game streaming and help with film streaming services as well. The fire cube 3 can do those things better for less.

Shield Pro is a great Streaming device for LG or Sony Smart TVs. Just not meant for Samsung. Chromecast with Google TV on the other hand supports HDR10+ for android and ATV 4k 3rd gen (pre 3rd gen no HDR10+) for iOS.
