Oct 22, 2018 · Redline D6 ATF according to the Redline spec sheet is compatible for applications calling for Toyota WS ATF. It is more than fine. It's basically Redline's solution for all modern transmissions calling for thinner fluids for fuel economy these days. BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Toyota, Honda, etc. This fluid is for all of them.
This is why Redline D6 is not the best ATF in Prius
Oct 3, 2010 · I think ATF with calcium sulfonate is the way to go. While WS contains calcium sulfonate, Amsoil LV ATF, Redline D4, and Maxlife ATF contain more of it as well as AW/EP additives that are P and B-based. I guess this is why Redline folks hint D4 is better fluid compared to D6 for WS application, even though it's a thicker fluid.
ATF. Any advantage to using Redline D6 over the Toyota WS?
Nov 8, 2013 · The WS is nothing special it's really just a discussion on what quality GL4 you require. Redline has the best GL4 lubricants in the world imho. In the US Redline is pretty cheap. $11.99 a quart with free shipping from Jeg's. So less then $50 every 3 years for me. I use Jeg's because I buy alot of stuff there and Redline does not take Paypal.

Aug 31, 2012 · So I saw on ECS they listed Redline D6 ATF as compatible with our cars. Its $11/L from them. The proper Audi G060162A2 ATF is $40-50/L depending on where you buy it.

Feb 19, 2020 · Redline D6 (40*C= 28.4 cst /100*C =6.0 cst) Aisin WS (40*C= 34.7 cst /100*C =7.3 cst) Cst= centistoke measurement (the greater the number the slower the motion [but better protection in my opinion]) Clearly Aisin developed their own fluid for this very reason. Toyota is skimping by manufacturing WS elsewhere. Aisin is the clear winner.

Oct 22, 2018 · Mendel never lets empirical data stop him from saying your wrong. I have been running Redline D6 in my bought new 07 since it was new. Mendels been telling me for 11 years my trans is going to blow up. It does get old. Fantastic UOA's posted in the trans sticky. Excellent product like all there trans fluids.. Try there engine oil next the 10-30.

Aug 27, 2017 · in my trans almost 11 years now. Have replaced it 3 times over the last 11 years. The last time It was changed it had almost 40000 miles on it and it looked brand new so if you get that first change done And get that initial break in fluid out your probably good for the life of the trans, it’s a very low wear trans from what I’m seeing, low wear with D6 at least in it.
