Feb 1, 2010 · At some point, Family Sharing will have to be implemented. There’s just too many occassions where family need to use common items. Car keys being used by the spouse, or luggage with your Airtag attached being carried away on family holiday by the kids for hours, or days. Constant chirping and notifications would be very, very annoying.

Feb 22, 2020 · The AirTag can't connect to the internet on it's own so the location will get updated periodically when someone's iPhone detects it and after that the location will be updated. Alternatively to the AirTag being destroyed it could just be somewhere where no iPhone was close enough to detect it and still maybe show up at a later date.

Aug 7, 2018 · Yeah, I received the low battery notification twice for the same AirTag this week and both times it stopped showing low battery status a few minutes later. I guess it's hard for the AirTag to evaluate the battery level, but it must be getting low. It's been 14 months after all. My Panasonic replacement batteries are on their way.

Jul 13, 2008 · Monday morning I went to grab them before work and couldn't find them..I tracked them and it showed me they were in my office. I got there, and they weren't there. It took me another 2 days to find them in my car an I was getting ready to buy another set. I"m hoping the better tracking is built into the next gen, but for now I'll attach an AirTag.
