Mar 2, 2019 · No sir, the speed is the speed. My previous truck (F-150) had the power steps, and I knew my Ram would have to have them. I've never had a problem with the speed of the deployment in either. Unless your a first responder I don't think you will have a problem with the speed. I would be hard pressed to get out fast enough to beat the steps.
