Smith-Rowe was formed in 1983 in Mt. Airy, NC, by Founders Russell Smith and David Rowe and focused on bridges for many years. The company has seen many changes over the years, each one giving us the basis to be where we are today.

Since inception, Smith-Rowe has built over 500 bridges, ranging from small single span cored slab bridges spanning 40’ to steel girder deck bridges containing over 1 million pounds of structural steel over multiple spans with a single span length of 300’.

Smith-Rowe’s core business has been building bridges in the heart of North Carolina for over thirty years. This tradition continues to grow as we have branched out to build in almost all of North Carolina.
