Dec 12, 2021 · I got into the books recently and just finished Goblet of Fire the book and my thoughts on the movie remain unchanged. Yes, it does miss a chunk from the book but it does seem to get it all one can in 2.5 hours. The movie hits almost all the important points and still gives room for the more mundane moments.

Goblet of fire is the worst film adaption of Harry Potter!
Of course, every Harry Potter film did some in my opinion questionable and bad choices but Goblet of fire is full of them and the result is a completely boring movie with the exception of the finale and a few scenes in between. I just wanted to share my thoughts and I'm interested to hear what other people think of it.

Goblet of Fire helped change the direction their box office was going. 2 did worse than 1, 3 did worse than 2, and then 4 came and beat both of them and it mostly all got higher from there. Only 3 and 8 got higher critical scores. 4 was a good success for the franchise. It just wasn’t the best adaption due to making it one movie.
