Because it is an Alienware laptop, the service is actually called (Alienware Client management service), so: in the search bar, search for (services), then from there look for "Alienware Client management service" and enable it (choose automatic delayed). That worked for me.

Jul 14, 2021 · Another solution i found was to just install an earlier version of the dell update. Either Version 3.1 and it works. Uninstall support assist and just manually download updates from the dell website. This method ensures that the Dell Client Management can run and allows drivers and bios updates

This problem occurs due to the Dell Client Management Service becoming disabled. Unfortunately my position doesn't have admin rights, so I need to work through our field techs in order to have the service restarted. Does anybody know a root cause for the service disabling itself? Any preventative measures would be lovely.

Jun 10, 2021 · See if the dell management service is somehow disabled or set to manual status. If you want this service to run, status should be set to auto or delayed start. However, I don’t see the point of running this service. In fact I set a bunch of dell services disable such as the support assist service, dell remedy service, etc.

Dell Client Management Service is what allows us to install updates for bios, drivers, etc from the Dell website. Without it running pretty much our Dell softwares like support assists are unable to function properly.

Now, my Alienware M15R4 laptop is at version 4.5.0 and it's always auto-updated itself.
