Aug 20, 2021 · In terms of the display, I have an LG 27up600 4K display and I connect it with a certified USB-C to HDMI cable directly to the M1 MacBook Air and it has been working flawlessly. This display was a recent purchase about a month and a half ago. Before that, I was using my old Apple 27" Thunderbolt display which also had no issues.

May 3, 2011 · The 30W charger from the MacBook Air definitely doesn't have enough power to supply both USB-C and USB-A ports on my Caldigit SOHO dock. My M1 MacBook Air goes to sleep when using clamshell mode if I plug in an ethernet adapter and then a thumb drive. I guess if the charge falls off, the power circuit thinks the MBA isn't plugged in to the charger.
