Aug 28, 2024 · I was replacing my 5.56 barrel with a 300 Blackout barrel and I broke my Virtus. Through some combination of the wrong amount of torque and not having the indexing pin all the way in place, when I tightened the new barrel down I cracked the barrel clamp.

Dec 16, 2015 · took my mcx to my local gunsmith and we could not get the muzzle brake off of the MCX. Called customer service, they told me to stick my barrel in the freezer for 24 hrs; however I have never heard of that.

Oct 13, 2021 · I was able to do this on several MCX’s to remove with no issues or damage, but they were on very tightly. Slow and steady pressure will eventually break it free. The trick is a proper wrench head (so it won’t slip or mar the muzzle device flats and the long fulcrum of the cheater bar/pipe piece.

Dec 28, 2022 · Most likely scenario is you have a mismatch between your firing pin safety latch and your hammer. Any post recall MCX prior to the Spear-Lt requires a specific hammer profile to trip the firing pin safety latch. There are two styles of safety latch.
